Matrix MeditationsA Practical Guide for Tending the Garden of Your Soul By Victor & Kooch Daniels Matrix Meditations is a systematic guide to meditation for everyone from beginners to advanced meditators. It offers invaluable insights to enhance inner harmony and outer effectiveness whether or not you maintain a formal meditation practice. | Its unique framework for reflection on life's questions, problems, and possibilities opens up new perspectives and enhances your chances for success and well-being. | It leads toward greater composure, self-mastery, enjoyment, and quality of life. | It shows how to take elements of a meditative consciousness into everyday affairs. |
What is the Matrix? It is a systematic program of instruction in mindful, concentrative, and contemplative meditations, as well as everyday awareness practices designed to develop your ability to take a meditative attitude into the real situations of your everyday life. Collectively, its contents are called the "Matrix of Consciousness." Its 65 cells are divided into four columns that represent mind, body, emotions, and action. Each cell's title summarizes its topic of discussion, making information easy to access. A reflective passage that can serve as a subject for contemplative meditation is included in each cell, followed by a step-by-step guide to a specific meditation or awareness practice Ten brief chapters discuss the value of meditation, its varieties, and the rationale that underlies it. Eight different ways to use the book are described, in order to achieve the results that best suit you personally. Distinctive black-and-white photographs, most of them nature photos, are keyed to the messages of each chapter and cell. These offer visual reference points to encourage meditative awareness and inspire deep reflection. The Matrix integrates ancient and contemporary thinking from both East and West. This includes Yogic, Hindu, Tantric, Buddhist, and Zen Buddhist traditions from the East, Jesus’ original teachings and Sufi and Islamic ideas from the Middle East, Western philosophy from Ancient Greece to the Twentieth Century, and both scientific and therapeutic dimensions of Western psychology. The unique structure and approach of the Matrix Consciousness invites you to consult it again and again in regard to varied interests, problems, and concerns. | | Kooch Daniels

Daniels present their marvelous “16 week program for developing the Mind-Heart connection.” Those who might be somewhat put off by yet another seeming reference to the popular motion picture “The Matrix” need not fear exploitation of that now familiar scenario. Daniels and Daniels have been on their quest long before Neo broke free of societal conventions that made him a slave to enforced conformity. In their program, the two experienced teachers present a method that will provide honest communication with your inner self and their techniques demonstrate how you may begin to listen to both your head and your heart--perhaps for the first real time in your life. After you have encountered the 65 cells in Victor’s and Kooch’s Matrix of Consciousness, you may find that you will have to release some of your most cherished old concepts and ideas--but the good news is that you will also be able to free yourself from those stubborn roadblocks on the path to realizing your dreams and your true mission in life." --Brad Steiger,author/coauthor of 170 books on metaphysical and paranormal subjects. “The non-doctinaire, down-to-earth tone beckons to adventurers of self-discovery an expanded consciousness” –David Van Nuys “Beautifully written, accompanied by inspiring pictures. It is equally helpful for a beginning practitioner and a long-time meditator of thirty years like myself.” --Tanis Halliwell "Practical, magical, and mystical at the same time, this is a MUST read!" --John Harricharan "A treasure trove of methods to grow the self and enhance one's own peace and relationships with others. With this collection, you don't need a teacher or a guide, just a desire and some attention, to travel a journey of development. --Diana Divecha "In these turbulent times that we are experiencing, there is a great need to have a systematic and thoughtful program of contemplative meditations to cope and thrive as individuals and institutions. Matrix Meditations is a practical and effective program to do just that. The Daniels have brought together an easy to read and follow guide to connect mind and body. I strongly recommend it." --------Ruben Arminana, Ph.D., President, Sonoma State University | |
