Hamda Zabad
Hamda was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia on August 10th, 2009. This medical condition affects the adequate production of blood cells. Without prior notice, a blood transfusion can be needed to elevate Hamda's blood counts so his immune system does not become compromised.
To be cured, a bone marrow transplant will be needed in the very near future since his siblings are not a match.
Less than 5% of the population donates blood creating constant blood shortages.
Most do not join the Bone Marrow Registry unless there is a need or an opportunity to register.
Who can donate blood?
You must be in good health, at least 17 years of age and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. There is no upper age limit.
Wait one year after a body piercing.
